| Saint Anthony School, San Antonio, in 2005. The historical marker here reads: "Mrs. Cecelia Morse started the first school in San Antonio in 1889. The Benedictine Sisters assumed the administration in 1889. This red brick schoolhouse was built in 1922, at a cost of $22,000.00, eleven years after the adjacent church had been erected. The grotto and the wall facing the Plaza were constructed in 1935 of native rock." |
