| This aerial view includes Doc's Tower at the intersection of U. S. 19 and Gulf Drive in New Port Richey. The structure was torn down in 1983 to make way for a Pilot gasoline station. According to David A. Henry, this was the property of optometrist Dr. Anton Sorensen, who came to this area in 1950 and located in the house behind Doc's. He owned the front lots of what are now 5305 - 5510 U.S. 19 (Between Balsam and Gulf Drive). After his death, his widow sold the property to Pilot Gas Company, who sold to Globe Gas company, who sold to Marathon Gas Company, and the property is currently occupied Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
