| Howard W. Hodson (1906-1977) in 1930. Mr. Hodson was a rural mail carrier until about 1930, when he was hired by the Peninsular Telephone Co. His half brother Everett Klotz Sr. at that time took over for him as a mail carrier until he too was hired by the telephone company in 1933. They delivered mail from Tarpon Springs to Aripeka. Hodson has a Colt 45 revolver on his belt, as he carried registered mail, which often contained cash. Photo courtesy of his son, John H. Hodson. |
