Asher Chamberlain Casson (1860-1922) and Anna Margaret Schuh Casson (1873-1929). Asher was born in Ontario, Canada, and later moved to Detroit to work for the Edison Company. From 1908 to 1920 he worked for the Ford Motor Company as a tool and die maker. He moved to New Port Richey in 1920 with his wife, Anna, and four sons (John, Walter, George, and Clarence), purchasing the farm and home of Malcolm Hill, a civil war veteran. The farm contained approximately 80 acres located between Van Buren Street and Washington Street immediately north of Massachusetts Avenue (Vensetta Park, Sass Subdivision and Casson Heights). The original home was destroyed by fire in 1921 and was replaced by a two-story residence, which is still in existence, located west of Van Buren Street and about 450 feet north of Massachusetts Avenue.
