| Park Bridge and road through park. The caption for this photo in Tales of West Pasco is: “If one would stand in front of where the Hotel Hacienda is now and look westward down Main Street, in the early days of New Port Richey, he would see the old wooden bridge over which ran the dirt road that meandered northward up River Road.” The Park Bridge was the first bridge on Bridge Street. For several decades, this wooden bridge (dating back to the 1870s) was the only crossing of the Pithlachascotee River. |
