Fishing pier. This photo appeared in the St. Petersburg Times on May 5, 1962, with the following caption:

The former bridge that crossed the Pithlachascotee River at Port Richey is getting a new “top” so it can be used as a fishing pier. The last wooden remains of the old bridge which gave way to a U. S. 19 bridge, were burned recently. When the concrete foundation was found to be safe, Port Richey decided to build a fishing pier. It will be 16 feet wide, 80 feet long, and cost about $1,000.
