S. 19, more familiarly known today as the Green Key Beach Motel, owing to the addition of a second story. This building was erected in 1952. A horrific event occured there on January 12, 1998, when the owner of this establishment was shot to death at the age of 44. The owner had owned and operated this hotel since 1990, arriving here from New York City. It had been supposed that robbery was the motive. [Information from David A. Henry] |
